If you submit an unusually large number of releases or tracks in a short time, we temporarily restrict further submissions on your account. This protects against mistakes and misuse and ensures that every release can be reviewed carefully.
How you'll notice it:
When you finalize a release (step 5 "Review" and in the shopping cart), a red notice "Upload limit reached" appears. It also shows until when the restriction applies. During this time, the "Finalize release" button is disabled.
What still works:
- Your drafts remain fully saved.
- You can continue preparing and editing releases: upload cover art and audio, fill in credits and details, choose a schedule and stores.
- Releases that have already been submitted are not affected.
Do you want to upload a large catalog or have a good reason to submit more?
In that case, we'll lift the restriction on your account early if possible. In the dashboard, open a new ticket under "Support" and send us:
- the email address or customer number of your account
- the reason why you want to upload more music (for example, transferring an existing catalog or a planned series of releases)
- roughly how many releases and tracks you want to submit and by when
We'll review your request and let you know. Once the restriction is lifted, you can continue submitting right away.
Good to know:
- The limit applies per user account, not per artist profile.
- If only a single release is too large for the current quota, you'll see a notice telling you from when you can finalize it instead of the block. In that case, it also helps to split the tracks across several releases.
- If you regularly submit a lot of releases, get in touch with us. We can adjust the limit for your account accordingly.
